Man Utd Prepared to Move to Sign Jonny Evans

Manchester United signed Eric Bailly in 2016 and Victor Lindelof last year to strengthen their central defense.

The dilemma is that the Ivorian defender is out with a long term knee injury and as far as the Swedish star is concerned, he has not been able to impress under Mourinho so far.

In such a scenario, United are looking to sign another central defender this month and a former star in the form of Jonny Evans is heavily linked.

According to Mirror, Manchester United are prepared to move in with an offer worth 20 million pounds to re-sign the Northern Irish star.

West Brom are currently 19th in the table and the British source have mentioned that they are desperate to keep him. However, last month, Mirror reported that the Baggies will not stop the 30-year-old star from leaving if an offer around 30 million pounds ($40.6million) is received.

In December, West Brom boss Alan Pardew praised Evans as a “top” player and confirmed that the team captain could end up departing in the winter transfer window. (BBC).

This season, the Jonny has featured in 19 league games for the Albinos and scored one goal. In your opinion, will he improve Man United’s back line?
