Liverpool have been interested in signing Barca star Rafinha lately and if the latest reports are anything to go by then Klopp is clear to lure the Brazilian this month.
Two days back, we covered a report (via Don Balon) claiming that Liverpool have asked the Catalan club to let Rafinha move to Anfield if they want to hire the services of Coutinho.
Now, the Spanish source have claimed that Coutinho’s arrival would end the careers of Rafinha and Gomes at the Nou Camp.
As far as the Brazilian midfielder is concerned, Don Balon have stated that he has just recovered from a long term injury and everything indicates that Valverde has no plans for him.
In such a scenario, Klopp has a clear chance of signing the 24-year-old star and it will not come as any surprise to see Barca include him in the deal to sign Coutinho.
Rafinha’s current contract with the La Liga leaders will expire in 2020 and it has a mammoth release clause of €75million (FCB). He made his senior debut for Brazil in 2015 and so far, he has only made 2 appearances.
The South American star surely needs to play regular first team football in the second half of the campaign to have any chance of making the Brazilian squad for the World Cup. The Coutinho transfer saga has dragged on for far too long. We shall see how it unfolds in the coming days.
