Manchester United have been trying to sign a left back for quite some time as they lack quality and depth in that position.
Few days back, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that Jose Mourinho wants to sign Danny Rose but Manchester United are not prepared to sanction the deal to lure the Spurs star. Instead, Woodward recommended younger alternatives.
As far as the younger alternative is concerned, Daily Record have reported that Manchester United now want Scottish international and Celtic left back Kieran Tierney.
Duncan Castles have mentioned in the Daily Record report that United want to strengthen the LB position and Mourinho is understood to be impressed by the progress of the 20-year-old defender.
Tierney has been fantastic for Celtic under the management of former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and this season, he has so far featured in 36 games and directly contributed in 10 goals (3 goals and 7 assists).
His current contract with the Scottish champions will expire in 2023 and it was reported by Daily Star that the youngster is rated at 35 million pounds ($47million).
