Manchester United broke their transfer record to sign world class midfielder Paul Pogba last year. This year, they splashed more cash to sign another midfielder in the form of Nemanja Matic.
Now, if the latest reports are anything to go by then Mourinho is prepared to spend more to sign another midfielder and this time around, Italian international Bryan Cristante is in the limelight.
According to an exclusive report covered by the Sun, Manchester United are ready to make an offer worth 31 million pounds ($42million) to hire the services of the 22-year-old midfielder and replace Marouane Fellaini.
Bryan is currently playing for Atlanta, on loan from Benfica, the Italian side have an option to buy him for 10 million pounds and can sell him for triple the price.
The British source have claimed that the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have been keen on signing Cristante as well but they will not pay Atlanta’s $42million asking price and that is why Man United are in pole position to secure his signing.
It is further mentioned that Bryan would like to move to the Premier League to play alongside Pogba.
The Azzurri midfielder has been in top form for the Serie A side this season. Cristante has scored three times in his last two games. In all competitions, he has so far netted 8 goals in 17 appearances.
