Liverpool must improve their squad in the winter transfer window and if Coutinho leaves, then they must sign a quality star to replace the Brazilian playmaker.
According to reports going on in the media, Barcelona are ready to sign the Samba star in January and with his arrival, Ivan Rakitic could leave the Catalan club (Daily Mail).
Daily Mail have stated that the Croatian international does not want to play second fiddle to the former Inter Milan star and moving to Liverpool could be an option for him.
The British source have mentioned that the 29-year-old star could be used as part of the deal to lure Coutinho from the Anfield club.
Ivan is a world class midfielder, who has won every major title with Barca and has got what it takes to replace Coutinho at Anfield.
Last season, he scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists in 26 league starts for the La Liga club. This season, so far he has provided 3 assists in 9 league starts. He signed a new contract back in March (until 2021) that has a huge release clause of €125million (FCB).
Rakitic was linked with Liverpool back in August as well and then, Spanish source Don Balon claimed that the midfielder likes Klopp. In your opinion, is Rakitic good enough to replace Coutinho?
