Deal Close – Versatile Player Expected to Sign for Liverpool

Liverpool needed a new left back last summer but Jurgen Klopp could not sign one and opted to use James Milner in the LB position last season.
The England international did well in an unusual role but he is naturally a center midfielder and must play in his preferred position next season.
Klopp needs to sign a natural left back and if reports in the media are anything to go by then the Reds are close to signing one this summer.

Few days back, Daily Mail reported that Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Hull City left back Andrew Robertson in a deal worth 8 million pounds.
Now, as per an update provided by BBC Radio Humberside morning show presenter David Burns, the 23-year-old defender has left the Tigers’ training camp in Portugal. We can expect that his deal to join Liverpool is now edging closer.
Robertson is a versatile talent, who can effectively play as a left midfielder as well. Last season, he scored one goal and provided three assists in 39 appearances for Hull City.
In all honesty, Liverpool need a proven quality LB to strengthen the position and Andrew is by no means a top quality star. Therefore, it will not be shocking to see him warm the bench if he joins the Merseysiders.
In your opinion, should Klopp really use Milner in the left back position for another season?

Absolute disgraceful signing! We are in theChampions League not the Championship. We are supposed to be targeting players that excel at top clubs, not players that formed part of clubs that spectacularly failed. It’s an absolute joke that we were even linked with Robertson. I’m not a happy fan!

I would think the lad is good. It may be because he played with a lower team. Great players today did not begin with big clubs. This lad will surprise many. Welcome to An field.
