Liverpool will not be delighted with the fact that one of their key defensive targets in the form of Michael Keane is close to signing for Manchester United.
However, as per the latest transfer update provided by Daily Mail, the 24-year-old England international is set to re-sign for the Red Devils in a deal worth 25 million pounds this summer.
Two years ago, Louis van Gaal opted to sell him for just a fee of 2 million pounds. Now, Mourinho wants him back and United are ready to agree a deal that will make him earn £100,000-a-week (Daily Mail).
Michael has featured in 35 league games for the Clarets this season, scored one goal and provided two assists. Keane’s top performances for Burnley earned him a place in the senior national England side.
He made his debut for the Three Lions back in March and has so far made two appearances under the management of Gareth Southgate.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Keane has decided to sign for the Old Trafford club and he is desperate to return.
United already have the likes of Jones, Bailly, Rojo, Smalling and Blind in their central defense. The department is over crowded and Jose Mourinho needs to sell one or two stars to make way for Keane.
