Conte Ready to Agree $31million Player Signing for Chelsea

After Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea have the best defense in the Premier League this season, having only conceded 25 goals so far.
The Blues have solid players in their back line, still, manager Antonio Conte wants to further reinforce the department by signing a young starlet in the form of Jorge Mere, who plays for La Liga side Sporting Gijon.
According to an exclusive report covered by Daily Star, Conte is keen on hiring the services of the 19-year-old Spanish international, who has a release clause of 25 million pounds ($31million).
Jorge has represented Spain at all levels but he is yet to make his debut for the senior national side.
This season, the teenage center half has made 24 league appearances for the Spanish side, who are currently in the relegation zone. Overall, he has made 56 appearances for Gijon and has earned ample experience to take the next step in his career.
At the moment, the likes of Cahill, Luiz and Azpilicueta start in the three man defense for the Blues. Zouma was mainly injured in the first half of the season and after recovering he has normally warmed the bench. On the other hand, captain John Terry will probably leave the club this summer.
As per the provided Star link, the Italian boss wants Mere to be a long term option and he will likely loan the defender out. The former Juventus manager is also looking to sign a left wing-back, a midfielder and a prolific center forward.
