Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is seriously looking to reinforce his squad in the winter transfer window and the Red Devils are linked with numerous quality players if the rumors are anything to go by.
The former Chelsea boss is eager to strengthen his back line and more than a few defenders are in the limelight.
According to reports, once again United are linked with a move to sign Napoli right back Elsied Hysaj.
According to Sport Witness, the report is not really concrete but still Italian source Il Mattino claim that Man United United are ready to secure Hysaj’s signature in a swap deal involving Italian right back Matteo Darmian. However, even the Italian outlet are not convinced that such a move will go through.
Nine days ago, Daily Star reported that Mourinho wants to dump the likes of Smalling and Darmian and want to hire the services of the 22-year-old defender who is rated around 25 million pounds ($31.2million).
This season, the Albanian international has featured in 15 games for the Serie A side and provided one assist. He was a key member of the Napoli squad that finished second in the league last season.
