Not Wijnaldum/Klavan – Klopp Ready to Get $44million Stars Signing Done for Liverpool

Brozovic CroatiaLiverpool finished 8th in the Barclays Premier League last season and must step up big time if they are to have any hope of finishing in the top four next season.
The Reds need quality signings this summer and Klopp has lured the likes of Joel Matip, Loris Karius and Sadio Mane so far.
Now, the German manager wants to reinforce the midfield department as well and according to reports, he wants to sign two quality players from Italian side Inter Milan.
The stars in the limelight are Gary Medel and Marcelo Brozovic. According to Spanish source AS, Klopp was delighted with the performances of the Chilean international during the Copa America and wants to lure him along-with Croatian midfielder Brozovic.
Marcelo was a key member of the Croatian squad at the European Championships. The Croats were ousted by Portugal in the first knock out round of the competition.
Medel is a solid defensive midfielder and will be the perfect man to replace Lucas Leiva at Anfield. On the other hand, Brozovic is a creative player who will largely improve Liverpool’s midfield.
Liverpool may have to splash $44 million to sign the duo. Medel (Triunfo) is rated around $16million and Brozovic is rated around $28million (Sport Witness via Gazzetta dello Sport).

Brozovic is 100% worth it and would complement Can perfectly so I really hope we do go for him. Medel for £12m as a squad player wouldn’t be a bad purchase but don’t think he’s particularly necessary. Once Klavan is signed, if we get Brozovic I honestly think apart from maybe a dedicated LB to challenge Moreno (Hector? Rodriguez?), we’ve without a doubt got a squad capable of getting a top 4 spot this season! YNWA

Brozovic will be a great addition. I hope we land him. However, referring to Klavan as cover for Sakho is what I find funny. Is sakho meant to be in Liverpool in the first place. A jittery player without good sense of positioning. He and Lovren are not even fit to be back up. See how many goals they both gave away last term. So so average players!
