Deal Close – How Arsenal will Line up with £47million Signing

Robin van Persie was the last striker to score 20+ league goals in a season for Arsenal. The Dutch forward scored 30 goals in 2010-11 season and then left to join Manchester United.
Since the departure of Van Persie, Arsenal have been in search of a prolific striker and it seems that they are ready to sign one in the form of Jamie Vardy.
Football Insider reported that Arsenal are close to sealing a deal worth 47 million pounds (wages plus signing fee) for the England international.
Moreover, other reports are also suggesting that Arsenal are closing in to sign the Foxes superstar who scored 24 league goals last season. French striker Olivier Giroud is already looking forward to playing with Vardy next season (Mirror).
However, Arsenal normally play with a lone striker formation and it will not come as any surprise if Vardy replaces Giroud in the starting XI.
