Pre-Contract Agreement Possible – Klopp Eager to Sign African Star for Liverpool

Liverpool’s defense was one of their biggest concern under the management of Brendan Rodgers. Unfortunately, it still remains a huge issue even after the appointment of Klopp.
The Reds added the likes of Toure, Lovren, Moreno, Clyne, Sakho etc to with BR incharge to solve the defensive dilemma but in vain. The German manager may have to add his signings to finally sort this issue.
According to Express, Jurgen Klopp is interested in signing Schalke’s Cameroonian center back Joel Matip.

The 24-year-old African star is a strong and tall defender who has got an eye for goal as well. This season, Matip has featured in 21 games for the Bundesliga side, scored 3 goals and also provided 3 assists.
As per the provided Express link, the Reds can talk to Joel once the winter transfer window opens on 1st January and can look to seal a pre-contract agreement with the player whose contract will expire at the end of this season.
