Manchester United suffered a huge blow when first choice left back Luke Shaw broke his leg in the Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven.
The Red Devils are now looking to sign a new left back to replace the England international and a certain Spanish starlet is in the limelight.
Metro cite reports in Spanish media claiming that Man United boss Louis van Gaal is eager to sign Spanish star Jose Luis Gaya who has a mammoth release clause of $55 million in his contract.
The 20-year-old Valencia full back was solid at the back last season and helped the club finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League. Moreover, the La Roja star has prove his brilliant quality in the offense as well. Last season Gaya featured in 37 fixtures and directly contributed in 8 goals (2 goals and 6 assists).
Jose Luis Gaya can prove to be a brilliant addition in Man United’s squad but in all fairness, his price tag is very high and splashing that sum on a young defender does not make much sense.
