Spurs Even Closer to Signing Proven PL Star – Not Berahino

Despite signing three defenders this summer, Tottenham Hotspur are shaky at the back and have dropped points from winning position in the last two games.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino needs to add a quality midfield enforcer who can be a rock solid presence in front of the back four. One such player in the limelight is Southampton star Victor Wanyama.
The Kenyan international has played under the management of Pochettino and the Argentine manager is well aware of Wanyama’s qualities. Not to forget, Mauricio was the one who brought Victor to Southampton.
The 24-year-old holding midfielder is a proven Premier League star who has performed brilliantly for the Saints in the past two seasons.
Few days back, Daily Mail reported that the North Londoners have initiated moves to close in and sign the African star. Now, Tottenham are even closer to signing Victor Wanyama as the player has himself asked to leave Southampton.
With over a week left in the transfer window, Spurs must act swiftly to sign Wanyama. They also need to reinforce their strike-force as well.
