Chelsea – Is Jose Mourinho About to Make a Big Mistake

Ospina ArsenalArsenal are closing in to sign Chelsea goal keeper Petr Cech and the move looks imminent if reports in the media are anything to go by.
As published previously, Gunners are perhaps ready to let go their first choice goalie David Ospina to make way for the Czech star.
Mourinho is not really renowned for selling star assets to rivals. The example of Juan Mata is understandable but the Spaniard never suited Jose’s system because of his low work rate and well the Portuguese proved once again that he was right.
However, Cech is Chelsea’s best goalkeeper ever, Jose brought him during in his first season with the Blues and he has been ever present in Blues success.
Petr is still one of the best goalies in the world and will largely improve Arsenal’s squad and mainly provide assurance to their defense.
Gunners were brilliant in the second half of the season last time around and have a squad that can seriously challenge the Blues for the title in the next campaign. The addition of Cech will only make North Londoner’s case stronger.
Hence, Mourinho might be making a big mistake if Cech eventually departs Stamford Bridge for Emirates move.

  1. A big mistake indeed…

  2. Mourinho believes chech is surplus to requirements and sees no reasons for keeping him. It may come back to hurt him especially if cortouis dips in form.

I would like to keep big petr alongside courtois every day, but it’s almost impossible to keep the 2nd & 3rd best goalkeeper in the world competing for only one spot in the squad while absolutely both deserves a place in the starting Xl rather than warming the bench . with cech (32+) we’ve a legend. with courtois (23) we’ve got the future… so selling cech isn’t a mistake wherever the destination is due to the respect he deserves from the board for his long serving factor at chelsea. they respect his decision!
