Chelsea – Attacking Midfield Conundrum

Goes without saying that Chelsea already have a brilliant squad capable of winning the premier league title next season. Adding to that the arrival of Jose Mourinho has further amplified the chances of taking title away from Manchester clubs’ grasp.
The blues have lately completed the signing of German international Andre Schurrle and will continue to reinforce the squad as Abramovich has provided the returning manager with decent transfer kitty to take Chelsea back to the top. However, doubt there will be anymore attacking midfielders coming as they do not really need one.
Chelsea already have an arsenal of attacking midfielders. The likes of Oscar, Edin Hazard, Victor Moses and player of the year Juan Mata to name a few.
The latest addition of Schurrle can also be utilized as a CF or a winger as he does shift positions at Bayer Leverkusen. Adding to that, another top quality Belgian youngster Kevin De Bruyne might stay with Chelsea as well. In such a scenario who will start in the attacking midfield for Chelsea?
Taking into consideration that Mourinho will mainly utilize a 4-2-3-1 formation as he did with Real Madrid whereby Ronaldo, Ozil and Di Maria were regularly starting behind the lone striker Higuain or Benzema upfront. What will be the case at Chelsea?
Ideally, a combination of Hazard, Mata and Oscar looks deadly but Mourinho always has different ideas than others. Anyways, In that case, new signing Schurlle will probably be on the bench? Or keep Demba ba and Torres on the bench by starting as a lone striker upfront?
Then again, Schurrle is not an out and out striker as well, someone that Chelsea badly need after Drogba departed. Now, if Chelsea do somehow sign a top quality striker in Edinson Cavani, then surely he will be starting week in week out and may force Schurrle to wings. Then, will Schurrle start ahead of any of Mata, Oscar or Hazard?
No matter how talented, I find it hard to think that Moses or De Bruyne will get many starting roles under Mourinho but again you never know.
For now, nothing can be said for sure to who will start in the attacking midfield but Chelsea do face a sort of conundrum there.
