Jose Mourinho won't block exit of Martial

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly not come in the way of Anthony Martial, should he personally demand an exit from Old Trafford. The France international has been frequently linked with a switch away from United with his representative recently confirming that he has made his mind up over a new challenge.
According to The Telegraph, United boss Mourinho does not seem keen on working with an unsettled player and he is prepared to part ways with Martial so long as the Frenchman himself places a transfer request. Nevertheless, there are some restrictions towards the deal with United keen on avoiding sanctioning his sale to any of their direct league rivals.
Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are both said to be monitoring the proceedings of the former Monaco ace but they are likely to be frustrated in the coming weeks, with Mourinho wary that Martial could transform them into genuine Premier League challengers for the upcoming campaign.
Despite the speculation, Martial has linked up with the Red Devils on their pre-season tour of the United States and so far, the Frenchman has featured in their opening two friendlies against Club America and San Jose Earthquakes respectively where they have shared the spoils.
Up next, United are scheduled to contest AC Milan in their maiden game of the International Champions Cup and following this, their tour only gets tougher with challenging games against Liverpool and Real Madrid to come
Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign against Leicester City on August 10 and the game may witness Martial command a starting berth, considering Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford could miss the clash after their World Cup exploits.
Martial has recently entered the final year of his £65,000-a-week contract with United but the club have the luxury of a 12-month extension clause which could be triggered at the present point of time. Martial contributed 11 goals through the 2017/18 season but none of those came between February and May where he was regularly dropped to the bench in preference for winter signing Alexis Sanchez.
