Liverpool have been linked with numerous quality attacking players this month and one of them is Algerian international and Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez.
Few days back, as per Express, the African star had talks with the Merseysiders and the British source mentioned that transfer terms were being discussed as well.
More recently, Algerian journalist Nabil Djellit, who works for France Football tweeted that the Foxes superstar wants out of the club and he has got an agreement to leave with the club president.
Nabil further stated that manager Peul wants Riyad to stay at the King Power Stadium which is understandable but the player does not want that.
In such a scenario, Liverpool can and should press to secure his signature. Mahrez was brilliant for Leicester City in their title winning 2015-16 campaign under the management of Claudio Ranieri and he deservedly won the PFA Player of the Year award.
This season, he has been in top form as well. In 22 league starts, so far the 26-year-old playmaker has directly contributed in 15 goals.
As per the provided Express link, Mahrez’s preference is to move to Arsenal and as per Mirror, he is rated around $55million.
