Liverpool Ready to Secure Agreement with Firmino

Liverpool have been brilliant in the attacking third this season but it will be intriguing to see if they can perform at the optimum level without Coutinho, who left to join Barca this month.

The likes of Firmino, Mane and summer signing Salah have regularly scored and created goals for the team this season and the Merseysiders must hold on to them for long term.

According to Telegraph, Liverpool are ready to agree a new deal with Roberto Firmino which will keep him at the club for the rest of his career. Yes, you read that right, for the rest of his career and he is just 26.

The former Hoffenheim star has mainly played in the center forward role under the management of Jurgen Klopp and so far, in 30 appearances, he has directly contributed in 24 goals (16 goals and 8 assists) this season.

As per the provided Telegraph link, Liverpool are sure that the front three players will be settled at Anfield for the years to come. As far as Firmino is concerned, it is mentioned that negotiations over a new deal have not formally started but will begin soon.

The Brazilian star’s current agreement with Liverpool will expire in 2020 and he earns £100,000-a-week ($7million-a-year) (Star). He surely deserves a pay rise.
