Liverpool have already lost Coutinho this summer and German international Emre Can has been linked with a move away from Anfield as well.
The former Bayer Leverkusen star will be out of contract in the summer and it will not come as any surprise to see him leave this month.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Liverpool want to sign Kevin Strootman from Roma if Can departs the Merseysiders in the winter transfer window.
Premium Sport HD claim that if Emre Can is sold in January then Strootman could immediately fly to the Premier League.
The Italian source have mentioned that Kevin’s reps are active because there is no shortage of interest in his client in England and if Liverpool come up with a concrete offer then there could be decisive acceleration towards completing his signing.
As per Repubblica.it, Liverpool’s interest in Strootman is strong and Monchi would look to replace the midfielder if the Reds are willing to activate his release clause of 45 million euros ($53.6million).
The 27-year-old Dutch international can effectively play in the defensive and central midfield. This season, he has so far scored 1 goal in 15 league outings.
