Arsenal are heavily linked with a move to sign Northern Irish international and West Brom star Jonny Evans.
The former Manchester United star is an experienced defender but he has been out of form like the entire Baggies team this season. Still, reports suggest that the North Londoners want Jonny to strengthen the back line in the winter transfer window.
According to the Times, Arsenal are stepping up efforts to sign the 30-year-old defender ahead of Manchester City. It is mentioned that Wenger is willing to make a bid for the three time Premier League winner.
On the other hand, Daily Mail claim that Arsenal may even offer Mathieu Debuchy to the Albions in order to sign Evans, who is rated at £30million ($41million) and his contract will expire in 2019.
The Gunners have been largely inconsistent in the current campaign and need quality reinforcements if they are to finish in top four.
We can expect Evans to line up with Mustafi and Koscielny in the back three for Arsenal if he does end up moving to the Emirates. In your opinion, is Jonny really worth $41million?
