Liverpool were eager to sign Guinean international and Leipzig star Naby Keita last summer but the German club did not let him leave.
In the end, the Reds agreed a deal worth 48 million pounds + a premium (Express) to secure the signing of the African star for next summer.
As per German source Zeit, Liverpool agreed a total amount of €70million to seal the deal for the midfielder.
Now, as per an exclusive report covered by the Express, the 22-year-old star does not want to wait for next summer, he wants to join Liverpool in January and his camp is expected to push for the move when he returns for training in the New Year.
Keita is an energetic versatile star, who can effectively play anywhere in the midfield. Last season, he scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists for Leipzig and helped the club qualify for the Champions League for the first time.
However, Leipzig were ousted from the CL, they will play Europa League in the second half of the campaign and at the moment, they are 5th in the league.
In the current campaign, Naby has featured in 20 games in all competitions, scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist.
