Arsenal Made an Offer Worth $47million for Defender

Wenger Arsene Arsenal FCArsene Wenger is looking to strengthen his back line in the upcoming winter transfer window and a certain Juventus star is in the lime light.
According to reports in Italy (Sky Italia vs CalcioMercato and TMW), Arsenal moved in with an important offer of 40 million euros ($47million) to sign Moroccan international Mehdi Benatia from the Italian champions.
However, it is reported that the Old Lady rejected that offer and they do not want to sell the former Bayern Munich star.

The North Londoners perhaps made a move for Benatia keeping in mind that he has rarely started for the Serie A giants this season. He has only made 8 league starts and scored 2 goals.
Benatia, 30, is an experienced defender who has won the Italian and German league titles and has the quality to improve Arsenal’s shaky back line.
At the moment, Koscielny and Mustafi are the first choice central defenders at the Emirates but Wenger does lack quality and depth in the back line and must sign a new center half next month.
