Arsenal are preparing for the departure of Alexis and Ozil and are linked with more than a few quality attackers.
Few days back, we covered a report (via the Sun) claiming that Arsene Wenger wants to hire the services of Wilfried Zaha to replace the Chilean playmaker at the Emirates.
The Ivorian attacker has mainly been injured this season and in all fairness, he is nowhere as good as Alexis. In such a scenario, the North Londoners should forget about signing Zaha and must look elsewhere and they are doing exactly that if reports are anything to go by.
According to Daily Mail, Arsenal will make another attempt to sign Raheem Sterling from Manchester City in a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez.
The French boss tried to sign the England international in the summer transfer window but Guardiola refused to sanction the exit of the former Liverpool star. The British source have mentioned that the Gunners are still keen on luring him.
Sterling has been in top class form under the management of Pep this season. In all competitions, the 22-year-old playmaker has featured in 15 games and directly contributed in 13 goals (10 goals and 3 assists). On the other hand, Alexis has only scored 2 goals in 10 games.
Raheem’s current deal with the Sky Blues will expire in 2020 and he is earning (Star) around £150,000-a-week ($197,000-a-week).
