Manchester United are currently second in the Premier League, five points behind leaders Manchester City, who are in fantastic form at the moment.
Mourinho needs to strengthen the Red Devils in the winter transfer window to seriously push for the title.
If the latest reports are anything to go by then Manchester United are linked with Spanish international and Barcelona playmaker Jose Arnaiz.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Arnaiz’s agent has received calls from Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich after his client’s impressive first team debut against Real Murcia in the Copa Del Rey, in which he helped Barca win by scoring a goal.
For Barcelona B in the Segunda Division, Jose has featured in 9 games this season and directly contributed in no fewer than 7 goals (4 goals and 3 assists).
The Spanish source have mentioned that Arnaiz rejected proposals from Real Madrid, Juventus and Napoli before opting to sign for Barcelona and at the moment, he is focused on performing well to earn a regular place in Valverde’s first team.
His current contract with the Catalan giants will expire in 2021 and it has a release clause (Mundo Deportivo) of 20 million euros ($23million).
