Manchester United were interested in hiring the services of French international and Atletico star Antoine Griezmann in the summer transfer window but the highly rated playmaker ended up agreeing a new deal with the Spanish club.
According to recent reports going on in the media (Don Balon), the Les Bleus star, who has a huge release clause of 100 million euros ($118million) in his contract is well aware that clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona want to sign him.
However, he might stay with Diego Simeone’s team.
As per the provided Don Balon link, Griezmann wants Atletico to hold on to the star players and also adequately reinforce the team by signing top players.
The Rojiblancos have strengthened their squad by capturing Costa and Vitolo and now Antoine wants that the club must hold on to star goalie Jan Oblak.
The 26-year-old star is one of the best attacking playmakers in the world. Last season, he netted 26 goals and provided 12 assists in 53 games for Atletico.
So far, he has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist in 7 appearances in all competitions in the current campaign. In your opinion, should Griezmann leave Atletico to progress in his career?
