After a disappointing draw vs Watford in their opening Premier League game, Liverpool have been rampant and are on a 4 game winning streak.
The Reds ripped Arsenal apart at Anfield in the last fixture and were able to lure Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the Gunners on deadline day.
Apart from Coutinho, Emre Can’s future has been up in the air recently with Juventus seriously interested in hiring his services (CdS). His current contract with the Reds will expire in less than 10 months and he is earning around $71,000-a-week (Star).
The 23-year-old German international was brilliant for the Reds last season, especially in the second half of the campaign and without his efforts, Liverpool may not have finished fourth.
Emre has started the new campaign in top form as well. In 4 appearances, the former Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has netted 2 goals and provided 1 assist. Not to forget, he was a key member of the German national team that won the Confederations Cup this summer.
In such scenario, Can deserves a new deal without a shadow of a doubt and Liverpool have to agree improved terms to make sure that he stays beyond this season.
In your opinion, should Liverpool hand him a new contract?
