Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has mainly been linked with a move away from the club this summer and that has frustrated the supporters big time.
However, recent reports have been very positive for the Reds, who are once again active in the window as far as the signings are concerned.
Today, the Merseysiders have confirmed the capture of Naby Keita by agreeing a deal to sign the African midfielder from Leizpig next summer (Official).
As far as that premium amount is concerned, earlier in the day, we covered a report via German source Zeit and claimed that the Bundesliga star will be joining the Merseysiders for a fee worth 70 million euros ($84million).
Normally the payment of release clause does the job but perhaps it has been paid to seal the deal earlier to avoid the competition next summer. Other big teams would have tried to sign him next summer, especially Bayern Munich, who have a habit of capturing top stars from the Bundesliga.
As per the provided Liverpool’s official website link, Keita is absolutely delighted with the fact that he will play for the Anfield club next season.
For now, he wants to focus on performing for Leipzig, who will take part in their first ever Champions League campaign after finishing second in the league last season. The German side have been drawn in Group G of the competition with the likes of Portuguese giants Porto, Turkish champions Besiktas and French champions Monaco.
