Balague Provides Update amid Reports Liverpool have Agreed Fee for Coutinho

Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has not played for the club this season but he was able to earn a place in the Brazilian national side.
The Samba star is heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and yesterday, Sunday Times journalist, Duncan Castles, claimed that Coutinho has been told that he will be a Barca player before the end of the transfer deadline.
Moreover, he wrote for Yahoo that Liverpool have agreed a fee worth 160 million euros ($191million) to sell the former Inter Milan star.

However, renowned Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has provided an update today on his twitter account and claimed that Liverpool are still adamant about holding on to the South American playmaker.
Balague tweeted that the Reds have insisted that they are not selling him and Barca have not made any new offer as well.
Coutinho was fantastic for the Merseysiders last season under the management of Klopp. However, at the moment, Liverpool are not missing him. They have won 4 out of 5 games this season in his absence. In your opinion, should Jurgen keep Phil at Anfield?

  1. If Liverpool are able to sign Lemar and Alex Ox, then they should let Coutinho to go. It is no doubt that he is a good player but is holding the club to ransom with recent attitude claiming injury but has joined the national team. He has disappointed the club who brought him to stardom, because he was unknown in 2013-2014. LFC struggled when Suarez left and Sturrideg was injured and worst when Sterling left for Mancity. He only blossomed under Klopp in the season of 2015- 2017.He is not a loyal player and does not have the fighting spirit like Firmino who puts his body and everything when the team is down. Yes LFC will miss him as we missed Tores in 2011 but the club is bigger than an individual. With the amount of money on the table, they need to cash on it now however on the condition Barca that comes with cash upfront not in instalments.
