Deal Close – Liverpool Star could Join Barca on Wednesday & Debut on Sunday

Liverpool really need to hold on to their best players to progress next season but it seems that they are going to lose star playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona sold superstar Neymar to PSG for a world record fee and now reports suggest that they are close to replacing him with Coutinho after reaching an agreement worth 100 million euros with the Merseysiders (ESPN).
ESPN have stated that Klopp did not want to sell the Samba star but the player himself made it clear to the owners about his desire to move to the Nou Camp.

It is further mentioned that Coutinho could officially become Barcelona’s record signing on Wednesday and could make his debut against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday.
The former Inter Milan star’s performances helped Liverpool qualify for the Champions League and Klopp will need to sign a top quality replacement if the Brazilian departs. As per the provided ESPN link, West Ham star Manuel Lanzini is being eyed to replace Phil.

With the manager suggesting we might not need any more incoming transfers and Coutinho seemingly on his way to Barca it looks as if we might begin this season weaker than we ended the last one! Sorry, that would be pathetic when all of our rivals have spent around £150m each. We only just got fourth spot last year but United and Arsenal have spent a lot of money so are we headed to fifth or sixth spot next year? Seemingly, the money men at Anfield have won the day. We have more money than we know what to do with – with another £90m coming when Coutinho leaves – yet the accountants are going to be the only happy people as we struggle without the central defender, defensive midfielder and striker we’ve needed for years. Not happy!
