Chelsea have already secured more than a few key signings to strengthen the squad in this summer’s transfer window.
However, Conte wants the club to further reinforce the team and according to an exclusive report covered by Daily Mail, Chelsea have made a move worth 25 million pounds to hire the services of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the Italian boss.
The versatile midfielder’s current deal with the North Londoners is going to expire in less than 12 months and it will not be shocking to see him move because he mostly warmed the bench under Arsene Wenger.
In the last campaign, the 23-year-old England international could only start 16 league games for the Gunners, scored 2 goals and provided 7 assists.
He can play anywhere in the midfield and in the attacking third but Chelsea already have top players in every department. In such a scenario, Alex would most likely warm the bench even if he moves to Stamford Bridge.
The £25million rated ($32.5million) rated former Southampton player has also been wanted by Liverpool this summer with Jurgen Klopp a huge admirer (Mirror). However, the Merseysiders have not been linked with him recently.
In your opinion, do Chelsea really need Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain?
