Liverpool have been looking to sign a top quality midfielder to strengthen their team in the summer transfer window and one of the stars linked is England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Reds have been interested in signing the Gunners’ star for quite some time and last month, Mirror reported that Klopp wants the $32million rated star at Anfield and Liverpool even made a direct inquiry to sign him.
Now, as per an exclusive update provided by Daily Star, Arsenal are adamant that they will not sell the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Alexis Sanchez to a rival Premier League team.
The British source claim that they have no intention of allowing Alex to join the Merseysiders this summer as he heads into his final year of the contract.
Klopp has already got midfielders like Lallana, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Can in his squad. Moreover, Liverpool are also interested in signing Guinean international and Leipzig star Naby Keita (via Bild).
In the last campaign, Alex only started 16 times in the Premier League and directly contributed in 9 goals (7 goals and 2 assists).
In your opinion, who should Liverpool sign to strengthen their midfield?
