Manchester United have wasted a lot of time in the transfer window and they must strengthen the defensive and the attacking midfield before the new Premier League campaign kicks off in two weeks.
The Red Devils have been linked with a number of midfielders. Yesterday, we covered a report (via De Morgen) claiming that Anderlecht play breaker Leander is high on Jose Mourinho’s wishlist.
On the other hand, United are linked with Portuguese international and Bayern Munich star Renato Sanches. According to Daily Mail, the likes of Man United and AC Milan are keen on signing the 19-year-old midfielder, for whom the German champions are demanding a huge fee.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, the teenage player is rated around 35 million pounds. However, not so long ago, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge mentioned that a fee of €48million would be considered (via ESPN).
Sanches was brilliant for Benfica in their title winning 2015-16 campaign. After that, he played a key role in helping Portugal win the European Championships last year.
However, in his first season with Bayern Munich, manager Carlo Ancelotti opted to bench him more often than not.
The Seleccao star only managed to start nine times in all competitions for the Bundesliga giants and could not even score a single goal. In your opinion, do United need Sanches?
