Manchester United have been linked with Colombian international and Real Madrid star James Rodriguez for quite some time.
According to the latest reports going on in the Spanish media, the Los Blancos attacker is close to leaving and now closer to signing for Manchester United.
According to Don Balon and Diario Gol, the former Porto star only wants to join the Red Devils and after warming the bench under the management of Zidane. The Spanish sources have claimed that James Rodriguez has told Florentino Perez that he wants out of the club.
As per the provided Don Balon link, the agreement between the player and Manchester United has already been reached. The only issue is that the British giants are only willing to pay 40 million euros to sign him but Real are demanding 60 million euros.
On the other hand, Diario Gol claim that Mourinho wants the Colombian, who is now closer to moving to the Old Trafford club.
James’ has a contract with the European Champions until 2020 and he currently makes around $239,000-a-week (Daily Star).
Last season, the ex Monaco playmaker scored 11 goals and provided 13 assists in all competitions under Zidane, who wanted him sold even last summer (Diario Gol). James was the leading goalscorer in the World Cup 2014 and has the quality to improve Man United’s offense.
