Chelsea will Move Hard to Sign James Rodriguez

Manchester United have mainly been linked with Real Madrid star James Rodriguez but reports suggest that Chelsea are serious about signing him as well.

According to renowned Spanish source AS, Chelsea are interested in hiring the services of the Colombian international who is not sure about his future.

The Blues wanted to sign Romelu Lukaku to improve their strike-force but the Belgian star is headed to Old Trafford after Everton agreed a fee with Jose Mourinho’s team (via official MUFC).

Surely, they would want to beat United to the signing of James Rodriguez and as per the provided AS link, Chelsea will move hard to secure his signature.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder featured in 33 games for the Los Blancos last season and directly contributed in 24 goals (11 goals and 13 assists).

The $238,000-a-week star (Daily Star) was mainly a bench warmer under the management of Zinedine Zidane, who only started him in 20 games last season.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, Conte has got playmakers like Pedro, Hazard and Willian in his team and if Rodriguez joins, we can expect him to partner Eden in the attack behind the lone center forward.
