Liverpool are looking to reinforce their squad in the summer transfer window to challenge for big prizes next season.
The Reds have been linked with Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the past and according to a recent report covered by The Times, the England international has decided that he wants to leave the Gunners.
The British source claim that the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City are interested in hiring the services of the former Saints player. Taking into consideration everything, the Merseysiders are favorites to sign him.
Alex mainly warmed the bench for Arsenal last season and when given the chance, Wenger mainly used him in the attacking midfield. However, the £35m rated ($44million) star (Telegraph) is naturally a central midfielder and wants to play in his preferred position.
Back in May, Telegraph claimed that the 23-year-old is tempted by idea of playing in the midfield for Liverpool under Klopp.
Moreover, after the FA Cup final, Ox revealed that he always wanted to play in the central midfield and emulate (none other than) Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard (Mirror).
The Merseysiders have not replaced Stevie as yet and Chamberlain would perhaps love to be the man to take his place in the center of the park for the Merseysiders. Not to forget, as compared to Liverpool, Chelsea and City have got quality squad depth and the competition for starting places is very high.
As per the provided Times link, Klopp is an admirer of the versatile star and earlier this month, we covered a report (via Express) claiming that the German boss wants to secure his signature. In your opinion, should he splash the cash to sign Ox?
