€57million Star Wants to Join Liverpool But There is a Twist

The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to sign Dutch international and Southampton star Virgil van Dijk for quite some time and it will not come as any surprise if he moves to the Anfield club this summer.
Yesterday, BBC reported that the £50million rated (€57million) defender wants to join Liverpool if he leaves the Saints, moreover, Jurgen Klopp is keen on securing his signature. However, BBC have reported a new twist today.
The British source claim that Southampton will report Liverpool to the Premier League over an alleged illegal approach for the former Celtic center half.
The 25-year-old star is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and he has a long term contract with the Saints, which will expire in 2022. He had an injury hit campaign last term and could only feature in 30 games (scored 4 goals).
In the past few seasons, the Merseysiders have signed more than a few stars from the Saints but if the latest reports are anything to go by then Southampton are ready block the moves for Van Dijk.
As per the provided BBC link, Southampton want to hold onto the Netherlands defender and are ready to reject an official offer.
Liverpool leaked goals on regular basis under the management of Jurgen Klopp in the last campaign and the German boss badly needs to strengthen his defense in the summer transfer window by signing a center back and a left back.
In your opinion, should Klopp break the bank to sign Virgil van Dijk?

So much criticism over Liverpool tapping up van dyjk. Perhaps we should be like Barcelona and get our players to do it for us. Which is exactly what is going on with courtinho. Fortunately he is loyal to Liverpool, were he is obviously happy. You have to wonder why Southampton players always want to move. Inflating the price of van dyjk says a lot as far as I am concerned and that what shoul be investigated. It went up from fifty million and it is now a joke. No I would not even consider paying 100 million , it is quite rediculous and although I woul love him to come to Liverpool I would not want the club to be exploited. I do feel sorry for the Southampton fans because we ha ve experienced it many times but raising the price of the player does not solve anything.
