Now, the Spanish source claim that the Portuguese boss has directly told the player to join and that he will be important at Old Trafford in the next campaign.
The former Juventus striker has already agreed personal terms (via Telegraph) with the British giants but the fee needs to be sorted out. As per the provided Marca link, the offer from Manchester United will be around 70 million euros, however, the La Liga champions are demanding 90 million euros ($101million) for their prized asset.
Marca state that Morata has been reminded that he signed his first professional contract with the Los Blancos when Mourinho was in charge of the club. Moreover, Jose has assured Alvaro that Manchester United’s glory days will return soon and they will challenge for top prizes.
The 24-year-old star only started 19 games in all competitions for the European Champions last season and still managed to directly contribute in no fewer than 26 goals (20 goals and 6 assists).
