Another day, another report linking Liverpool with Roma star Mohamed Salah. The Merseysiders need a pacy attacker like him to strengthen their team and they must splash the cash to finally hire his services.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that the Reds are closing in on signing the Egyptian international after already agreeing personal terms but they have to meet Roma’s asking price of 35.5million pounds ($45million).
By paying the above mentioned fee, Liverpool will break their transfer record sum – 35 million pounds – paid to sign Andy Carroll.
According to the latest update provided by Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio on his personal website, Liverpool have not yet made the bid that will meet the demands of the Giallorossi but that offer could arrive in the next 48 hours.
The Italian journalist has also claimed that the Anfield club have already agreed a contract with the former Basel playmaker.
Mane and Coutinho were joint leading scorers for Liverpool in the PL last season with 13 goals. On the other hand, Salah started 29 league games for the Italian giants in the last campaign and scored 15 goals (13 assists).
