Jurgen Klopp Wants The Reds to Secure $51million Signing

Jurgen Klopp is looking to improve the quality and depth of his attacking midfield and more than a few top attackers are currently linked with Liverpool.

According to the latest reports going on in the media, Express have exvlusively claimed that the German boss is ready to splash a fee of 40 million pounds ($51million) to hire the services of Arsenal star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer transfer window.

The baffling part in the report is that Klopp is not prepared to pay 35 million pounds for Roma’s Mohamed Salah but has no problem in paying 40 million pounds for the England international. Why?

Salah was one of the best players in the Serie A last season and his stats were brilliant for Roma. The former Chelsea attacker directly contributed in 34 goals (19 goals and 15 assists) in all competitions.

On the other hand, the 23-year-old England international was mainly a bench warmer for the Gunners in the last campaign under the management of Wenger and could only score 6 goals and provide 11 assists in all competitions.

Ox’s current deal with the Gunners expires next year and as per the provided Express link, Arsenal are looking to agree a new contract with him. The former Southampton attacker is being deployed on the right wing but he prefers to play in the central midfield and wants to emulate Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

In your opinion, should Klopp sign Oxlade-Chamberlain or Salah?

Salah! Mind you, we are desperate for a central defender, screaming for a defensive midfielder and urgently in need of a left-back and goalkeeper, not to mention an out-and-out striker so let’s see what progress we make . . . and I’m not optimistic. We’ve already messed-up the van Dijk deal, due to our own incompetence, and we seem to be playing hard-ball with the Salah deal by refusing to pay the extra couple of million we need to pay to seal the deal . . . in exactly the same way we did with Eriksen and Dele Ali. And look how that bit of financial meanness ended up with Spurs getting both of them by NOT baulking at paying a couple of million more for each of them!

£51 million for Oxlade? Is this a joke? Are we that desperate to pay £51 million for this below average squad player? If we do, I’m done with this football team.

Don’t even dare…..Chamberlain of all people???? Just how we keep going for mediocres is what baffles me. Sometimes I think Liverpool made a deal with the FA to give English players a platform….in the end all we have is an average team.

what is this tapping up all about lfc should just keep quite in transfer market and wait till transfer market reopen July 1 and stop claiming player we are yet to buy because our clubs are in look out too
As for Ox the coach know the player he need for his team most important if Ox is part of the plan for the new season so fans should stop dictating for the coach.
But I will like to see klopp to spend the money wisely cos if will said Ox not worth 40mil then what about Vij at 60-70 please fans think about it.
I will prefer Ox than salah because if Africa nation cup come mane, salah even matip will leave if Cameron still want him so a good coach will think about even you fans don’t think about it.
