Press Image – Mourinho Ready to Agree €235,000-a-week Star Signing for Man Utd

Liverpool and Manchester United are going to battle it out for the signature of Spanish international and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas.
According to the Sun (Press image provided below), Klopp and Mourinho are ready to hire the services of the former Barcelona star in a deal worth 25 million pounds this summer. Who will win the battle?
So far, the 29-year-old central midfielder has only started 16 games in all competitions for the Blues this season and must leave Stamford Bridge for regular first team football.
His current contract with Chelsea will expire in 2019 and he is getting (Daily Mail) around £200,000-a-week (€235,000-a-week).
Cesc’s high wages should not be a problem for a club like Manchester United but Liverpool may think twice because he is already earning more than their highest earner, Coutinho (Star).
On the other hand, the Reds are in pole position to finish in the top four and that could give them the edge over United if the Red Devils fail to qualify for the Champions League, a competition that Fabregas has not won yet.
Cesc joined Chelsea from Barcelona when Jose was in charge of the Blues and under his management, the Spaniard excelled and helped the club win the title. Mourinho’s presence at United could also prove to be crucial.
Liverpool have versatile stars like Can, Wijnaldum, Henderson and Lallana in their midfield. It will be fair to say that they need a strong defensive midfielder and not a creative one.
On the other hand, United stars like Carrick and Fellaini are past their best and must be sold and replaced. Someone, like Fabregas will be a perfect signing for them.
