Liverpool have quality attackers in their squad but only Sadio Mane has raw pace. Klopp needs more pacy attackers to improve the quality and depth of his offense.
Back in February, Daily Mail reported that the German manager wants to sign two wingers in the summer transfer window and is targeting Leicester City attacker Demarai Gray.
Now, the British source have once again mentioned that Liverpool are interested in signing the 20-year-old England international.
The former Birmingham City player is a versatile talent. He is mainly a left winger but can effectively play on the right flank and also as a central attacking midfielder if needed.
In the current campaign, Gray has so far featured in 26 league games for the Foxes, scored one goal and provided four assists.
Klopp lured Sadio Mane from Southampton last summer and the Senegalese international has proved to be their best attacking player this season. Demarai’s above mentioned stats are not impressive by any means and it will be fair to say that Liverpool should forget about signing him and must target proven quality stars to improve their team.
At one end, the Merseysiders are targeting Gray and on the other end, Manchester United have agreed a wages to sign Antoine Griezmann.
Gray’s current contract with Leicester City will expire in 2020 and he is rated at 26.5million ($29million) as per CIES Football Observatory. In your opinion, should Liverpool sign him?
