31 Goals/Assists – Liverpool Look to Finally Agree $59million Star Signing

Liverpool signed Sadio Mane from Southampton last summer and the Senegalese international has deservedly won the Reds’ Player of the Year prize after fantastic performances this season.
The African star has missed a handful of games in the current campaign due to international duty and knee injury. In his absence, Jurgen Klopp’s offense has failed to shine.
The Merseysiders need to sign quality attackers in the summer transfer window to improve the depth of the squad. Only then they can seriously challenge for the Premier League title.
Back when Brendan Rodgers was in charge, Liverpool tried to sign Mohamed Salah from Basel. However, the Egyptian international opted to join Mourinho’s Chelsea instead. He never got a fair chance at Stamford Bridge and after impressing on loan with Italian teams like Fiorentina and Roma, he signed a permanent deal with the Giallorossi last summer.
According to Goal, Liverpool are eyeing options to strengthen their attacking department and are looking to move on from Julian Brandt to finally hire the services of 24-year-old Salah.
Renowned for his blistering pace, Salah has been fantastic for Roma in the current campaign. In 34 starts (all competitions) the former Blues playmaker has directly contributed in no fewer than 31 goals (17 goals and 14 assists).
He mainly plays on the right hand side of the attack, a position occupied by Sadio Mane at Anfield. However, like Mane, Salah is versatile as well and can play as an AM and also as an out and out center forward if needed.
Mohamed’s current contract with the Serie A side will expire in 2019 and he is valued at 54.4million euros ($59million) as per CIES Football Observatory. In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Brandt or Salah?
