Klopp Ready to Agree Van Dijk Signing for Liverpool – Move Accepted Verbally

The Reds have been heavily linked with a move to sign Dutch international and Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk for quite some time and the transfer saga has taken multiple twists recently.
Virgil has been injured since January but before that, he was top class for the Saints. He has recovered well and Southampton manager, Claude Puel, expects the 25-year-old star to be with the club when the new season begins (Star).

“He’s our captain and he’s important for us. He has matured and taken leadership on the team. He’s a fantastic player we know well.
“He’s important for us and now, of course, we will wait to the beginning of the season to see him on the pitch with Southampton.”

However, as per the provided Star link, Klopp is confident of securing the signing of Van Dijk, who is the German’s top priority. The British source have also mentioned that the Netherlands defender is keen on joining the Anfield club this summer.
Few days back, we covered a report (via Read Liverpool) claiming that the former Celtic defender has verbally accepted to join Liverpool if they qualify for the Champions League.
As per reports going on in the media, Liverpool are close to signing Burnley’s Michael Keane (via Mirror). However, even Liverpool Echo are claiming that Klopp wants a solid center half and he is eager to hire the services of (Not Keane) Van Dijk, who is rated around 50 million pounds ($65million).
Virgil’s current contract with the Saints will expire in 2022 and he has netted 4 goals in 30 games this season. In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Keane or Van Dijk?
