Liverpool are interested in signing James Rodriguez but the Reds will not be happy with the latest reports suggesting that the Colombian star wants to join Manchester United.
Recently, Balague confirmed that the Merseysiders are keen on luring James but the Real Madrid playmaker would prefer joining the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
Now, according to Spanish source Don Balon, it has been decided that the former Monaco star will leave the Bernabeu at the end of the current campaign and his agent Jorge Mendes will tell Perez that Rodriguez wants to play for Manchester United.
It must be remembered that super agent Jorge Mendes is also a representative of Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho.
The South American attacker has been in a complex scenario at the Bernabeu under the management of Zinedine Zidane. The French boss has preferred the likes of Bale, Ronaldo and Benzema in his attack and therefore, James has mainly warmed the bench.
Even without regular starts (25 apps), the £185,000-a-week star (Daily Star) has been able to score 6 goals and provide 13 assists so far in the current campaign.
The 25-year-old star has already won the Champions League with the Los Blancos and could end up leaving the club with the League title as Real sit on top of the table.
Capable of playing anywhere in the attacking third, the World Cup Golden Boot winner will largely amplify Man United’s offense.
