Liverpool are in search of a new left back to strengthen their back line this summer and numerous names are in the lime light.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Daily Mail) claiming that the Reds are closing in on a deal worth 8 million pounds to sign Hull City LB Andrew Robertson. The report also stated that the Merseysiders want to sign Betis star Riza Durmisi.
Hull have conceded 67 goals in 34 PL games. In all fairness, Liverpool should forget about signing the Tigers’ star, who has been weak all season at the back in a team that may end up moving to the Championship.
Instead, Klopp has to agree the signing of Durmisi who has the traits to be a hit in the Premier League. The 23-year-old Danish international is a versatile talent, who can also be deployed on the left hand side of the midfield if needed.
He joined the Spanish side last summer and has impressed in the La Liga this season. Last month, AS‘s Jose Espina heavily praised him and claimed that Riza’s style of play reminds him of Marcelo and Roberto Carlos.
Durmisi is a powerful and a pacy defender, with a brilliant left foot, which can come handy from the set piece situations.
In the current campaign, he has scored one goal and provided two assists in 23 league games for Betis, who are 15th in the table.
Riza’s contract with Real Betis will expire in 2021 and as per the provided AS link, the deal has a release clause of 20 million euros ($21.5million). In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Robertson or Durmisi?

Arsenal who’ seems to have offered him more money and in my thoughts there is no reason why we should have lost this guy just due to not offering him a better salary ?? Especially as it looks at this present time that Arsenal will miss out on a Champions League Spot… Even with missing out on Kolašinac there are still other decent LB’s

theo hernandez who is out on loan at Alves this season from Athletico Madrid and being watched closely by both
Real Madrid and Barcelona so he would coat us a bit £££ but would be a major part of the team for Years to come
And the first decent LB since Riise but Milner has done a great job playing there but it’s not his proper position and lacks the skills of a specialist LB such as Durmisi or Kolasinac or Hernandez who have Plenty of pace and doesn’t need to get the ball on the Right foot at all times so please Klopp pick one of these Guys !!!!
