Arsenal will collide against Lincoln City today in the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Who will come out on top?
Earlier today, we predicted the starting lineup of the North Londoners and included Spanish international Lucas Perez in the attacking midfield and Ospina in the goal.
However, very recently, Arsenal’s correspondent for Goal, Chris Wheatley has confirmed on his twitter account that the 28-year-old versatile forward is again on the bench for today’s contest vs Lincoln.
Moreover, Petr Cech is expected to start with Ospina out due to a groin injury (Mirror)
The former Deportivo La Coruna striker has so far started in every round of the FA Cup for Arsenal. He provided assists against the likes of Preston (3rd Round) and Southampton (4th Round). Moreover, he scored a goal in the last round against Sutton United.
Therefore, it is quite baffling that Perez is not in the starting XI today.
Overall, the Spaniard has mainly warmed the bench for the Gunners but in the limited starts, he has been able to impress. In 21 games, Lucas has scored 8 goals and provided 6 assists.
Chris (Goal) has also claimed that due to lack of opportunities, Perez will look to leave the Emirates this summer.
