Liverpool Ready to Clear Way and Finally Seal €70million Star Signing

Since the departure of Luis Suarez, Liverpool have failed to sign a prolific goalscorer who could score at least 20 league goals in a season.
Klopp had an adequate strike-force last summer but now the department lacks quality as well as depth. Benteke and Mario are performing well after leaving the Anfield club.
Sturridge and Ings remain injury prone and Origi is still not a regular starter under the management of the German boss.
The Merseysiders must secure the signing of a top out and out striker next summer to solve the dilemma up front and once again French international and Lyon center forward Alexandre Lacazette is in the limelight.
According to Mirror, Liverpool, Arsenal are interested in signing the 25-year-old striker, who is currently playing at the peak of his game and has a release clause of 60 million pounds in his contract (€70million).
This season, in 22 Ligue 1 appearances, the Les Bleus star has scored 22 goals and provided 2 assists. In all competitions, he has netted 27 goals and provided 3 assists in 31 outings.
Mirror have claimed that Liverpool have been following Lacazette for the past three years and are ready to finally seal his signing after selling Daniel Sturridge. However, the England international will only allowed a transfer at the right price.
Alexandre has been in top form Lyon in the past few seasons and will be a huge signing for the Reds. Can Liverpool beat the Gunners to his signature? Only time will tell.

With Arsenal likely to be in the CL next year and Liverpool highly unlikely to be – on current form – the chances are that he would choose the bright lights of London as opposed to Merseyside but that is what happens when a club has five top players (Mane, Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino and Clyne) yet fails to upgrade the others over innumerable transfer windows and despite having oodles of cash in the bank. Would Lucas be in the squads of any of our rivals? Would Chelsea, City or Spurs play a winger at full-back with five-foot-nothing Lucas as a slow and ageing CB? Would they try to get by with an attacking midfielder ‘doing his best’ in an unfamiliar defensive midfield role when protecting a defence of such incompetence that it makes the fans hold their heads in shame? Would they continue to have Mignolet in goal after numerous errors? Would they keep pretending Firmino is a striker when he patently isn’t?
Our squad is small and simply not good or big enough, end of story, and the cause of that is because for the last few years we’ve failed to replace players who are not good enough. Only the management can be blamed for our current situation in which we very shortly won’t be able to sign top players because we won’t be in the CL next year and might even struggle, on current form, to make the Europa. Am I impressed with klopp? No. Do I think we’ll have Lucas, Mignolet, Lovren, Milner and Moreno in the squad next year? Sadly, yes.

Totally agree with you apart from putting full blame on the management . I’m sure if FSG gave Klopp plenty of money to spend he would of used it . My suspicion is they didn’t which is why Klopp basically only used guns from sales which clearly wasnt enough . When we line up with an injured centre back absent which is quite often ( would never of loaned out Sakho myself) we actually only field out 3 defensive players and one of them is a keeper . We seem to get away with it playing the top sides but it clearly doesn’t work against the more direct/ counter attacking sides . We definitely need a new keeper, left back out and out defensive mid, striker and possibly another centre back
