Manchester United are linked with more than a few top quality players in the winter transfer window and once again Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko is in the limelight.
Back in October, the Red Devils were linked with the French international and reports suggested that Man United manager Mourinho is in love with him (SW via Le10Sport).
According to latest report covered by Duncan Castles (Daily Record), the Old Trafford club are looking to finally sign him this month but they face competition from PL rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.
The 22-year-old Les Bleus star is a strong defensive midfielder. He has featured in 26 games for the Ligue 1 side this season and scored 2 goals.
Bakayoko is yet to make his debut for the senior national side and so far he has played 13 games for the U-21 French side.
As per the provided Daily Record link, the Sunday Times journalist claims that Monaco value Tiemoue around 25 million euros. However, last month, it was reported by the Times that Chelsea want Bakayoko who could cost about £40million.
United are expected to sell (The Sun) Morgan Schneiderlin this month and lack a top quality defensive midfielder in the squad. Signing Bakoyoko can solve that problem for Mourinho.
