Liverpool Have Moved in to Agree $49million Star Signing – Klopp to Solve Dilemma

Liverpool signed two central defenders in the form of Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan last summer and the duo have performed well.
However, the Reds have still not been able to solve their defensive dilemma. To sort out that conundrum, Klopp must seal the signing of a specialist defensive midfielder and if reports are anything to go by then the German manager is looking to do exactly that.
According to reports in France (Le10Sport), top Premier League clubs are interested in signing Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko and the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal have moved in and contacted the French club to secure his services this month.
The Ligue 1 side have performed brilliantly in the league and the UEFA Champions League this season and the 22-year-old French international has been one of their best stars.
In 16 league appearances, Bakayoko has scored two goals. As per the provided Le10Sport link, Monaco cannot afford to lose the player and would advise the potential suitors that he is not for sale in the January transfer window.
The Merseysiders commit more than half the players in the attack under Jurgen Klopp’s system and are vulnerable if just one pass goes wrong.
In such a scenario, someone like Bakayoko could prove to be fruitful in stopping the counter attacks and he has the quality to provide a solid cover in front of the back four as well.
Not to forget, even Manchester United and Chelsea are interested (via ESPN) in signing the holding midfielder who is rated (The Times) around 40 million pounds ($49million).
